Abstract
The interpersonal hypothesis, first proposed by Prof. Ferdinand Knobloch, had been subject of experimental investigations already since 1964. After initial testing of its validity, that is, establishing whether 'the independent listeners may be able to distinguish interpersonal tendencies in the musical compositions from various periods to the degree that is beyond coincidence', there has been a number of experiments conducted further.
