Abstract

Highly symmetrical “Orderly Tangles”, composed of multiple liked loops or mathematical knots, are used as the supporting boundaries for single-sided or double-sided soap-film-like surfaces. The resulting shapes are called “Star Cinders” following an inspiring model by Charles O. Perry.
