Abstract

We define a new kind of anamorphosis, where the distorted image is a three-dimensional object, whose reflection in a mirror restores a hidden design. A chain of software and programming languages are used to actually build the sculpture, using a 3D printer. This work, from the beginning of an idea, its elaboration through software tools and programs, plus the interaction between two parties involved, illustrates how fruitful a collaboration between artists and scientists can be.
