Abstract

The interest of the Ottoman Empire in the Western world began in the first decade of the 18th century and continued into the 19th century. This is especially true in the regions of Sultan Mahmud IInd, Sultan Abdulmecid, Sultan Abdulaziz, and Sultan Abdulhamid IInd. The most important factor of the path of bringing Western philosophy into the Ottoman Empire was French Enlightenment.
